The RockShox Socket Tool was specially developed for mounting the Bearing Adapter Upgrade Kit (RS-UPK-BADPT-A1 / 00.4318.088.000, sold separately). The mounting aid is required for both installation and removal of the bearing adapter. The flat base ensures a snug fit and sufficient clearance between the eyelet and air chamber. The tool is suitable for frames that use a rear shock with 8 x 30 mm bushings.
